What is Synchronized Skating? synchrocircle

Synchronized Skating consists of a group of 8 to 24 skaters who learn, practice and perform a choreographed routine set to music at either (United States Figure Skating Association) and/or (Ice Skating Institute) competitions.

These choreographed routines consist of lines, blocks, circles, pinwheels and intersections, which incorporate forward and backward skating, footwork, turns and edges, to complement the theme of their music.  Synchronized Skating Teams strive to execute these maneuvers with power, speed, grace, finesse and most important of all unison.

The Marshfield Silver Laces are proud to introduce our new synchronized skating team, the Silver Lacettes.  With an introductory year to the basic principals of synchronized skating, under our belt, the Silver Lacettes are ready to begin as a competitive team for the 2007-2008 season.

Skaters will have the opportunity to compete at the Beginner Level for the Badger State Games, as well as perform in our annual ice show and as an exhibition routine for the Marshfield Tiger high school hockey games.

All skaters, Basic 5 and above, are invited to join.

For more information on the synchronized skating team, please contact Christina Christensen (Synchronized Skating Director and Coach) at christina.f.christensen@gmail.com.
